Room 30 was gorgeous, allowing me to enjoy a tranquil morning tea while watching the lake from the comfort of my bed. the amenities were thoughtful, with a kettle and a range of hot drinks provided, which was a wonderful touch, especially in the current climate.
One small drawback I encountered was the lack of privacy in Room 15’s balcony. Although it was charming, I realized there was a window that overlooked the area where other guests in the adjacent room could see me.

The location is magnificent and best possible, 1 km from The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction. The units were fabulous with a bath. Guests have all their needs satisfied by the caring staff. Think I would book again.

The rooms are new-fashioned and generally offer an electric kettle, central heating and an iron. The location is exceptional and it is not far from Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere, the restaurant.

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we entered the hotel. The information about the hotel and its facilities and knowledge of the locality was excellent. This was a small but good quality place to stay and we would certainly return. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious.
The only negatives for us were minor. Curtain hooks were missing and we had patio doors onto a balcony which were fixed and would not open. The room was quite hot in the evening and it would have been nice to be able to sit out on the balcony. Perhaps this is reserved for summer months.

We enjoyed 7 nights in a classic double room that was perfectlyvery comfy and tidy. The meals were delicious and always piping hot, especially the evening dinner. The singer on thursday night was a good touch that really engaged the audience. And it's just a short walk to freshen up after a day of exploring!
drinks were a bit pricey, but it was quickly resolved.

Nicely decorated and comfortable. Breakfasts were lovely with plenty of choice.
Bar prices very expensive which was the reason we did not have dinner at the hotel in the evenings.

Our two-night stay was delightful, especially with the stunning views over Bowness from our room and the overall cleanliness of the place. The staff made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. While the breakfast could have had larger portions, the quality and service were excellent. The location is perfect, just a short walk away from attractions and the countryside.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Hillthwaite. The fine views from the lounge and dining area enhanced our experience. The dinner options were good, though breakfast organization felt a bit chaotic. A wonderful spot for relaxation and rejuvenation.
